We are pleased to bring Manchester Mega Mela to Platt Fields Park and are committed to working closely with local residents to minimise disruption.
What To Expect
The event will take place on 1st & 2nd August 2026, between 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
As a large outdoor event, there will be amplified music and increased activity in and around the park during event hours. Sound levels will be monitored and managed throughout.
There will be increased traffic in the area, particularly along Wilmslow Road and surrounding streets, and parking restrictions will be in place. See our parking information.
You can expect higher footfall in and around the park across the weekend, especially during peak afternoon and early evening periods.
Residents
Resident permits will be delivered prior to the event, with two permits issued per household. If you require additional permits, or have not received yours, please contact us:
